What manner of thing is the Tycoon?

The Tycoon giveth thee a plot and a few engines. At the first, nothing turneth of itself: 'tis thou that settest them, thou that orderest them, thou that decreest what thy plot shall yield.

The game is to keep thy making a-turning. Thou reapest what thy generators bring forth, thou sellest, thou layest out anew. Every reaping payeth for one engine more, then one degree more, then one widening more.

The pace is that of a game of stewardship: thou beginnest with well-nigh nothing, thou orderest, thou layest out anew. The reward is no treasure stumbled upon, but a chain of making raised by thine own hands.
