Settling in
Your base is what you stand to lose. Here is how to secure it and get back to it fast.
Set your home
Pick a spot far from spawn, then type /sethome. You get two homes: to set the second one, give it a name as you set it, for example /sethome mine. /home takes you back to the last one, /home mine to the one you named, /homes opens the list, and /delhome followed by the name deletes one.
What makes a base hard to find
There is no land protection on this mode. Nobody can lock a chest, and your blocks can be broken. Your only defence is being impossible to find.
- Get properly away from spawn with
/rtp, then walk a bit further before setting your home - Do not build on the surface, and avoid big shapes you can spot from far away
- Never set a public teleport point on your base
- Give your coordinates to nobody, not even someone friendly
A hidden base is not a protected base. What really matters goes in your private chests.
The map is never reset
What you build stays. There is no season that wipes everything, no reset announced. You can build over years without risking losing it all at once. The server changes Minecraft version about every two years, and that erases nothing either: your base, your money and your progress carry over from one version to the next. The only exception is the rank you bought, which does go back to zero.
Leave for a month, the server touches nothing
Nothing is cleaned up while you are away: not your homes, not your base, not your money, not your progress. There is no time limit. Watch out all the same: the other players keep playing, and your base can still be found during that time. The reflex before a long break: put what matters into /pv and sell the rest. Money cannot be stolen.
Teleporting takes five seconds
It is not a bug: there is a short wait before you go. If you move during those five seconds, the departure is cancelled and you have to type the command again. Remember it: in the middle of a fight, five seconds is very long, and running away on foot does not work.
Finding the place where you died
You have to walk back, and fast. Nothing takes you to the spot for free: the /deathback command is for ranks only, and even then it costs you a share of your money. So the useful reflex is to look at your coordinates before you head into a fight, not after.
Joining another player
/tpa followed by their name asks them for permission to join them. They type /tpyes to accept. You have nothing else to type.
The most common trap on the server
Attacking someone who has just teleported to your place is allowed. Plenty of players invite a stranger just to kill them on arrival. Only accept a teleport from people you trust.
Where to store your stuff, what to put down at home, and how to drop things safely:
The places that matter on the server
/lieux opens the list of the places that count. You click one of them and you are there. It is the quickest way to see the server without searching.
Careful not to mix up two levels
Your player level, the /level one, does not move when you die. Minecraft's little green orbs, though, drop to the ground like everything else.
