Getting ready to fight

You can be attacked anywhere except at spawn. You are going to die, it happens to everyone. Here is how to lose as little as possible.

You hit as fast as you click

On recent Minecraft played on computer, you have to wait between two blows to hit hard. Here, no: your hits come out non stop, and people click fast. Players call it 1.8 combat, after the version where it worked like that. If you play on phone, you will not see any difference, that is already how you play.

You will always find someone

Several hundred players are online in the evening.

Prepare two sets of gear, not one

Always keep enough to kit yourself out a second time in your private chests. With a spare set, dying only costs you a round trip. Without a spare, dying costs you your evening.

Enchanted iron beats bare diamond

An enchantment is a power placed on an item. The Roman numeral next to it is its strength: IV means 4, V means 5. Iron armour with Protection IV takes more of a beating than diamond armour with nothing on it, and it costs ten times less to replace. Aim for Protection IV on the armour and Sharpness V on the sword before you think about diamond.

The grindstone gives you back what you put in

The grindstone is a Minecraft block, the blacksmith's one, that looks like a sharpening stone on a stand. Put it down and feed it an item you no longer want: it strips the enchantments off and gives you back the experience they were worth. That is how you waste nothing when you change gear.

Looking for a fight without looking for anyone

Type /rtpfight rejoindre, or click Random fight in /rtp. You go into a queue. As soon as an opponent is found, you are both teleported to the same randomly drawn spot in the world.

  • You get five seconds of invincibility before the fight starts
  • The winner takes all of the loser's gear
  • Two players from the same team cannot be drawn against each other
  • After each fight you have to wait before starting again, whether you won or lost
  • /rtpfight leave cancels the search as long as nobody has been found

Choose what others see when you kill

/killeffects lets you choose the effect that shows up when you take someone out. It is decoration, it changes nothing in a fight.

As soon as a player hits you, you are tagged. It is the rule that kills the most beginners:

After a kill, the loot is yours alone

For fifteen seconds, only you can pick up what the player you just beat dropped. After that, anyone can help themselves.

Putting a price on someone's head

/prime puts a reward on a player, from 1,000$ up. Whoever takes them out collects the pot, and several players can add to the same bounty. Players with less than 24 hours of playtime cannot be targeted.
