Making money
There is the in-game money, the one with the dollar, and there are the shop gems. This page is about the first one. /bal shows both.
Selling to the server: the basics
/sell opens the server shop, which buys your resources back. It is the simplest and steadiest way to make money on Skyblock: you mine your generator, you sell the stone, you start again.
/worth, with an item in hand, tells you what it is worth before you sell it.
The price is not fixed
Two things push it up, and that changes everything.
First, Happy Hour: three times a day, at 4pm, 8:30pm and 11:45pm, the shop pays 50% more for fifteen minutes. Save your big sales for those slots.
Then your skills. The higher your job goes, the more you sell that job's resource for: the price is multiplied by 1.15 at the second tier, by 1.5 at the ninth, and by 2 at the fourteenth. The two effects stack.
Selling to other players
/ah is the player market: you put an item on it at the price you want. For free, you can have 2 items on sale for 24 hours. Premium goes up to 5 items and 48 hours, Premium+ to 15 items and 72 hours.
It is often far more profitable than /sell for anything rare.
One thing the market does not show you: the server takes a cut on every sale. It is 5% without a rank, 3% with Premium and 1% with Premium+. Keep it in mind when you set your price.
Getting things delivered, or delivering to others
/order is there to place an order: you announce what you are looking for and the price you pay, and anyone can bring it to you. You can also accept someone else's order and deliver it, to cash in.
The server auctions
/enchere offers items put up for auction by the server. You cannot create one yourself, only bid.
The other income
- Events, several times a day, pay per objective reached and not per ranking: even without coming first, you leave with money.
- Quests give money and points.
- Crates hold money prizes, up to a very big one in the Legendary Crate.
- Jobs pay while you play normally.
Between players
/pay sends money to someone. /trade opens a face to face exchange, a safe one, where each side sees what the other puts in before confirming.
A warning about /cf
/cf is a bet: you stake money against another player and the winner is drawn at random. It is not a way to make money, it is a way to lose it half the time.
At least the server takes nothing on the way: the winner pockets the whole stake. You get 5 games a day, 10 with Premium, no limit with Premium+, and the stake goes from 10 $ to 10 million.
