The real numbers, so you know what you are getting into.
How many points you earn per hour
Fishing without stopping, and not counting the tide:
- Raft level 1: about 41 points an hour.
- Level 10: about 115.
- Level 20: about 218.
- Level 30: about 300.
- Level 46: about 390.
- Level 62: about 515.
It climbs because valuable items go from 10% of what drifts by to more than 35%, and because they are worth more and more.
How many hours for the levels that count
Starting from zero, doing nothing but fishing:
- Level 11, your 4th member slot: 2 hours 30.
- Level 21, your 5th slot: 6 hours.
- Level 26, quartz: 11 hours.
- Level 31, your Nether: 20 hours.
- Level 41: 50 hours.
- Level 46, your generator maxed out: 120 hours.
These hours assume you do nothing but fish. Playing normally, making the most of the two tides a day and playing with others on the same raft, you will go a lot faster.
The detail of what each level unlocks:
Is it actually playable?
Yes, and much faster than you think. The start costs next to nothing: 33,600 $ in all to reach level 5, 104,000 $ for level 10. You get there in an afternoon.
After that it climbs: 1,216,000 $ in total for level 25, 11,500,000 $ for level 40.
And that is fine, because everything that really changes your life as a player comes before level 46: your member slots, your teleport points, your Nether, and your generator maxed out.
The raft goes all the way up to level 101, and the levels past 50 are not meant to be reached by playing normally. They are prestige tiers for the few most advanced rafts on the server. Do not compare yourself to them.
