Settling on the map

The main map recreates the planet continent by continent, across 72,000 blocks east to west and 40,000 north to south. It is the world where you build for real.

Choosing your continent

Type /rtp then Planet Earth. Eight continents are offered: Europe, Asia, North Africa, South Africa, North America, South America, Oceania and Antarctica. A ninth option drops you somewhere at random.

You can come back later, but every /rtp has a waiting time before you can use it again: five minutes, two minutes with Premium, thirty seconds with Premium+. The other teleports, /homes, /spawn and /tpa, are not affected.

Claiming your land, the one thing you must do

A claim is a square of 16 blocks by 16 that your town takes for itself. Stand inside it and type /claim. From then on, only your town can build there, and no outside player can open your chests, break your item frames, your armor stands or your minecarts.

The protection runs from the bottom of the world up to the sky. It works against outsiders: the people you invite into your town do build at your place. Only the Leader and the Officer also open your chests. The Members and their roles page spells out who is allowed to do what.

  • /claim map shows the map of the claims around you.
  • /claim list gives the list of all of yours.
  • /unclaim gives back the one you are standing on.
  • /claim ban followed by a username bans that player from your place, /claim expel throws them out on the spot.

As you move around, a title tells you where you are stepping: "Protected area" at someone else's place, "Free area" where you can settle. Green particles draw the borders, and that is adjustable in /settings.

How many claims

Your town starts with 4 claims, and goes up to 500 as it gains levels.

The first 24 are completely free, forever. That is already a fine surface: 24 claims make 6,144 blocks of ground, a square of nearly 80 blocks a side. Plenty for a big base.

From the 25th on, though, a weekly rent starts. It is not a problem if you know about it: read the Monday's rent page before you get there, not after.

Setting your home

/sethome sets a return point where you stand. /homes opens the list and teleports you there, /delhome deletes one. You get 2, 5 with Premium and 10 with Premium+.

A reminder shows on screen as long as you have not set one. It disappears with your first /sethome.

Several Minecraft habits do not work here. Better to know them before you waste time:
