Trading face to face

When you want to trade with someone, never throw your items on the ground. Use /trade.

It works with anybody

You do not need to know them, to be in their team, or to be friends with them. Any player who is connected can receive your request. It is made exactly for that: trading with strangers without taking a risk.

How it works

Type /trade followed by the player name. On phone, type the first letters of the name: the game offers you the rest, you do not have to write it all. A window opens for both of you. Each of you puts down what they are giving, and you see live what the other one is offering.

Nobody can walk off with it

The trade only goes through if you both confirm. As long as one of you has not confirmed, nothing moves. If one of you changes what they are giving at the last second, the confirmation is cancelled and you have to start again.

Why it matters here

On this mode, throwing items on the ground to trade is the most common way to get scammed. The other person picks them up and leaves. With /trade, that cannot happen.

When the auction house is better

Trading face to face needs both of you to be connected at the same time. If you are not in a hurry, /hdv will reach far more people.
