Measuring up to others
Twelve events start on their own, at set times. No sign up: when it starts, you play. Nine of them are played with whatever you have on you. The three that are won by fighting need gear you are willing to lose. They are pointed out below.
Those twelve are not the only ones
The Combat Zone has its own fixture, which is not in this list: the 9pm Golden Hour. It is explained on the Combat Zone page.
Knowing what is coming
/event gives you the list and the week's schedule: which event falls on which day, at what time. Be there at the right moment, that is all you are asked.
The ones where you have to do the most
Fishing, Mining, Woodcutting, Harvest, Slaughter. A target is drawn at the start: a fish, an ore, a wood, a crop, and for Slaughter a monster. Whoever does the most wins. None of the five asks you to face a player, and you play them with whatever you have on you.
The ones where you have to get there first
Three events put something on the map, and the first to arrive takes it all: a quartz tower to break, that is the Totem. A dome of rock to dig through down to the chest, that is the Meteorite. A chest falling from the sky, with its coordinates announced in chat, that is the Airdrop.
The ones played by fighting
Three events are won by fighting. Holding a zone longer than the others, that is King of the Hill. Doing the most damage to a big crystal, that is the Nexus. Capturing three positions and keeping them, those are the outposts, and /outpost takes you there.
The one played in chat
The Chat Reaction announces a challenge. The first to answer correctly wins. It lasts a few seconds, so keep an eye on it.
The same ones, with your team
Five events have a team version: Fishing, Mining, Woodcutting, Harvest and Slaughter. The points of all your teammates add up. Without a team you can still take part, but you are up against whole teams.
During an event
The display on the right changes and shows the live ranking: who is leading, where you are, and how much time is left.
What it pays
Depending on your place, one of those twelve events can pay you up to 100,000$ in one go. You pay nothing to take part, and there is nothing to prepare. The outposts work differently: they pay by the second as long as you hold the position, on top of their ranking. They are detailed on the Making money page.
Seeing where you stand
/classements shows the server's best players. There are the permanent categories, money, votes, kills, jobs, quests and teams, and one leaderboard per event: fishing, mining, woodcutting, harvest, slaughter, totem, meteorite, outposts, King of the Hill, airdrops, nexus. Each one has its winner of the week, who gets rewards. The Best Players leaderboard sums up all the others, and whoever is top of it collects 25,000 gems. /profil opens your own sheet.
The week closes on Sunday at 11.59pm
That is the cut off. Everything you earn after that counts for the following week. If you are second on Sunday evening, that is your last evening to get ahead.
