Monster spawners
These are the cages that spawn monsters over and over. They are the heart of the big farms.
Where to find them
One source only: the Spawner Crate, at /warp caisse. You cannot find them out in the world, the server takes them away everywhere except on rafts.
How to move one
Breaking a spawner by hand does not give it back. You need the Spawner Claw, an item from the Epic Crate. With it, you pick it up and put it back down wherever you want.
Bear in mind that you can only break five a day, and fifteen with a rank. Plan your build.
What to know before you draw up your farm
Mobs that come out of a spawner do not move on their own: the server switches off their brain so it does not lag. They fall, they burn, they take damage normally, but they walk nowhere.
A farm that relies on a monster walking towards a hole will therefore never work here. Push them into the water, that is the only method that works.
How many you can place
The ceiling is 15,000 spawners per raft, and it does not unlock: you have it from day one.
Hoppers and pistons are far tighter: 50 of each to start with. They go up as you level your raft, up to 10,000 hoppers and 1,000 pistons.
Those three ceilings belong to the raft, not to the player. Three of you on it, you share the same starting 50 hoppers. When you place the block, the counter shows at the bottom of your screen, and a red message warns you if you are at the maximum.
Those are the only three blocks counted. Observers, dispensers, comparators and all the rest of redstone are free.
A hopper does not pick up floating items
Might as well say it straight away, because everybody tries: a row of hoppers at the edge of your raft will never catch what drifts by. Those items are not normal items, only the rod takes them.
Your spawner gives nothing? The causes are always the same:
What you really harvest depends on three rules:
