Talking to other players
A raft is often played alone in the middle of the water. Chat is what connects you to the rest of the server.
Messages
/msg [username]sends a private message./rreplies to the last one you received./ignore [username]makes somebody disappear from your chat, and/unignoreundoes it./radeauchat talks to your crew only.
Saying well played, and being seen
/gg [username] congratulates somebody who has just levelled up. It is a habit on the server, and it feels good.
Finding players for your raft
The recruitment channel on the Discord is there for exactly that: rafts looking for people post there, and so do players on their own. /discord gives the link.
Setting what you see
/settings opens your settings: turn off chat, refuse teleport requests, refuse invitations, hide advertising messages, turn on the protection against items dropped by mistake.
That last option is off by default. Turn it on, because it stops you throwing an item away by mistake.
Talking to the whole server
/pub sends a message to everybody. It is reserved for Premium, once an hour, and Premium+, every half hour.
Voice chat
It exists, but only on computer, with a mod to install, and you need 10 hours of play before you get access. On phone and on console, it is not available.
