What is Tycoon?
Tycoon gives ye a plot and a few machines. Nothing runs on its own at first: ye place, ye tune, ye decide what yer plot produces.
The game is about keeping yer production running. Ye harvest what yer generators put out, ye sell, ye reinvest. Each harvest pays for one more machine, then one more tier, then one more extension.
The pace be that of a countin'-house: ye start with next to nothin', ye tune, ye reinvest. The prize be not treasure ye stumbled on, it be a production line built with yer own hands.
