The block generator
This page is only available in French for now.Open the French version
Fishing gives you the rare stuff, the generator gives you the volume. The two go together.
How it works
When water and lava meet, a block appears. You mine it, it forms again, endlessly.
The server swaps that block for something else now and then: coal, iron, and better and better as your raft levels up.
The tier follows your raft's level
Your generator has a tier, from 1 to 25. It goes up with every raft level at first, then every other level, then every third one. Tier 25, the last one, is reached at raft level 46. /radeau generator shows the current tier and what it produces.
What shows up, and when
- Tiers 1 to 8: stone, coal and a little iron.
- Tier 9, at level 11: copper arrives.
- Tier 10, at level 13: gold arrives.
- Tier 12, at level 17: redstone.
- Tier 13, at level 19: lapis.
- Tier 14, at level 21: diamond.
- Tier 19, at level 36: emerald.
- Tier 20, at level 39: ancient debris, enough to make netherite.
- Tier 25, at level 46: the maximum.
The quantities go up too. A few real markers: at tier 1, you mostly pull out stone, with 1.25% coal and 0.25% iron. At tier 14, diamond shows up at 0.125%. At tier 25, it climbs to 0.5%, and ancient debris to 0.11%.
What it is worth, block by block
On average, sold back at the shop, a block out of your generator is worth:
- Tier 1: 1.47 $
- Tier 10: 2.05 $
- Tier 14: 2.53 $
- Tier 20: 4.00 $
- Tier 25: 5.50 $
Count one block mined per second, so 3,600 blocks an hour: that comes to about 5,300 $ an hour at tier 1, and close to 20,000 $ at tier 25.
That is why the generator beats fishing in dollars, and by a mile: fishing tops out around 1,100 $ an hour early on. The generator only depends on how fast you mine.
Getting your lava back
It is the classic accident: water touches your lava, and it turns into obsidian. It is not lost. Take an empty bucket and right click the obsidian: the lava comes back into it.
It works on your raft, in your Nether and in your End.
